- I was adopted as a newborn infant.
- I was reunited in 1996.
- I was adopted as an adult by my birthmother in 2003.
- My oldest son was named after my adoptive mother, but coincidentally, also shares his name with
my maternal great-grandfather.
- My married name is 50% shorter than my maiden name.
- The letters of my married name are found within my maiden name.
- I love bieng a mother.
- When my oldest was born I learned two important lessons: don't eat fried food during the last
month of pregnancy and there is an American style to giving birth. No one ever told me this before.
- My two sons are Sabras.
- My oldest and youngest were born at night; the middle one was a morning baby.
- When I was pregnant with my boys I had two brown circles show up on the sides of my hips during
the eighth month, when it didn't happen the third time around I predicted we'd have a girl, and we did.
- I love good old Jewish style homecooked food, especially chicken soup with kneidlach (matzo balls).
- I love egg cream sodas, especially when made right.
- I love pickled salmon wings as a child; unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any in New York,while
visiting this summer.
- I never got to say goodbye to my daddy. I wasn't allowed to visit in the hospital nor attend his
funeral.
- I always wanted to be a teacher.
- I never got my teacher's license because one of my instructors lost three papers I turned in and
refused to submit a grade for the transcript. The school is defunct now.
- I taught English to Hebrew speaking children in Israel and Hebrew to English speaking children
in Washington.
- My first published poem was an anachrostic titled Israel, in a 1966 camp yearbook.
- I love Grey's Anatomy ER, Scrubs, anything medical.

- I love to play Scrabble with my daughter and my mom.
- My favorite teachers, then and now, are Miss Adler, Lori Soard and Audrey Shaffer.

- I'm an early riser, up at 5:15 am, including weekends.

- During my first move when I was 12, I mysteriously lost my huge childhood photo album. A relative
gave me the copies she had but most are gone.
- I hate moving and have lived in my current home since 1990.

- I love dogs. Our last one, Lucky, a Doberman Australian Shepherd was 13 years old when she died
in Jan 2006.

- In the states I've driven a Plymouth Voyager, and when I handed it down to my oldest son,I got a

- One of my childhood pen-pals turned out to be the daughter of the Rabbi who was involved in my
adoption.
- Col. William Prescott was my first cousin seven times removed.
- My paternal eighth great-grandparents and five of their eight children were murdered by the Abenaki
Indians when they attacked Groton, Massachusetts in 1694.
- I majored in Applied Linguistics in college, but couldn't finish as by mutual agreement with the U.S.
I had to serve in the Israel Defense Force. I was a secretary and that is where I learned how to type.
- My favorite subjects of study are English and Language Arts including Linguistics.
- My worst subject is history. The only part I liked in school was the Battle of Bunker Hill.
- At eight I won first place in a talen show on a boat for tap dancing and singing a song. My parents
and I were on a trip to Europe and Israel.
- I thought I had lost track of a family heirloom, a Romanian embroidered jacket and hat. This summer
I learned that my cousin has it in her attic and if my other cousin, whose father was the original owner,
doesn't want it, she promised to give it back to me.
- I've always had a pen & paper in hand and would write away.

- I love listening to oldies, Jewish folk music, klezmer, old time Russia songs and show music.
- I served 3 years as the librarian of our congregation's library.
- I organized a year long penny drive at my daughter's elementary school and we raised $200 that were
donated to the Kindering Center that helps special needs children.
- In February it will be seven years that I have been at my current day job.

- I do 7-10 loads of was a week and sometimes am ready to pull hairs out of my head because of it.

- I love Borekas, puff pastry filled with potatoes.
- I own a book called Useless America, well the book is totally useless, it's empty. I now use
it to write down quotes I like.
- I love my spam filter, it cuts down tons of junkmail.
- I love Crocs.
- I had mono at the same time that my two youngest had the chicken pox.
- I'm a lifetime learner.
- I hate snow; rain doesn't bother me.
- I'm right-handed yet two of my children are lefties. My husband and the third one are righties, too.
- I was a temporary single mom for nine months when my husband worked in Texas, when the kids were
younger.
- My co-workers claim I'm irreplaceable.
- I started cooking dinner at the age of 12 for me and mommy.
- My first auto accident was two weeks after getting my license - the back wheels stuck and the car
took a 180 degree turn facing oncoming traffic on a major highway. No one was hurt and neither was the
car.
